Individual Therapy

What I offer is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These are well researched therapies that can help reduce symptoms related to anxiety, trauma, and overall stress.

  • EMDR works by targeting disturbing memories or thoughts to reduce the negative feelings tied to them.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We often challenge your thoughts that no longer serve you.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy uses mindfulness to help you commit to changes you wish to make.

Private Pay

Paying for therapy privately offers an extra layer of security around your personal health information that insurance companies would have access to. You and I would be the only people to have access to this confidential information with the few legal and ethical exceptions (which will be covered in the first session).

Insurance companies can limit the amount of sessions they will pay for or arbitrarily stop covering therapy services for a number of reasons. Paying privately puts the control of how many sessions you need back into our collaborate hands.

Superbills (receipts for can be provided should you choose to submit it to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
